Former Presidential candidate Peter Kenneth gave an update on the super-expensive bottle of Whiskey late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore promised to gift President Uhuru Kenyatta before succumbing to Cancer weeks ago.

At a memorial service for Collymore, Uhuru had joked about being owed the 'special gift' by the group of Collymore's friends which includes Kenneth, journalist Jeff Koinange and Radio Africa MD Patrick Quarcoo.

Kenneth has had a difficult month as he had to deal with the loss of his mother Rahab Wangui just weeks after Collymore's death.

Speaking at a service for his departed mother at his Loresho home, Kenneth who popularized the term 'boys club' with his speech at Collymore's memorial revisited the whiskey saga.

He disclosed that they had managed to get their hands on one of the last available 700ml bottles of Johnny Walker Director's Blend.

The bottle is to be delivered to President Uhuru Kenyatta after being transported all the way from Amsterdam.

The drink was supposedly only made for the alcohol manufacturer's director and a bottle costs around $4600 (Ksh460,000).
