World Marathon Record Holder Eliud Kipchoge through his lawyer Donald Kipkorir has sent a demand letter to NRG radio over the use of Kipchoge's brand on the station's platforms without prior agreement.

Sent on Friday, NRG radio was given two hours to respond and enter discussions on the amount payable for the listed violations.

Kipkorir further noted that they would engage in a legal process to enforce Kipchoge's rights if the urban radio station failed to respond, terming their actions 'egregious violations'.

He further noted that the station's actions violated Communications Law in Kenya and attract criminal liability.

Following Kipchoge's iconic completion of the INEOS 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria, NRG Radio undertook a campaign in which they temporarily rebranded themselves as Kipchoge Radio.

The company also offered to give Kipchoge a BMW i8, but only if their Instagram account got to a million followers by the morning of Thursday, October 16th. It did not.
