Mejja has been one of the biggest artists in Kenya since the late 2000's, so it might seem crazy to think that he has never had a Youtube channel of his own.

His music over the years has been posted on different pages including the Calif Records channel and, later, a channel for the Kansoul which includes him, Kid Kora and Madtraxx.

On Wednesday, February 3, Kenyans raced to subscribe to his new channel, Mejja Genge, after he dropped a hilarious music video for Ulimi Yangu.

The video is directed by Hulk Omondi, a frequent collaborator of artists including Ochungulo Family and Hitman Kaht.

It reminded many fans of Mejja's earliest videos such as Landlord and Niko Poa, thanks to the comical storytelling and lyrics.

As always, Mejja delivers what should be an award-winning comedy performance.

After 2020 saw him earn himself the title of undisputed King of Collabos thanks to a slew of hit features, Mejja looks set on thriving as a solo artist this year.

We can't wait to hear what he cooks up next!
