Zimenishika and Matisha hitmaker Zzero Sufuri has spoken on why a rumoured perfomance at Ugandan music festival Nyege Nyege 2019 failed to take place.

In an interview with Mpasho, Zzero explained that as the event organizers were unable to meet his asking price, he chose to stay home and watch cartoons.

In a recent interview with Milele FM's morning duo of Alex and Jalas, Zzero had revealed that he charges around Sh100,000 for a show.

Zzero has emerged as one of the biggest stars in the country over the past year following up his stoner cult classic Zimenishika with hits such as Matiati, Matisha and Chuki na Doo.

In the same interview, the Dagoretti-born artist spoke on a recent trip for a show in Qatar, noting that it went great as he promised to return in future.

He also paid homage to genge legend Jua Cali, crediting him as his mentor.
