Xeniah Manasseh has had a meteoric rise in 2020 mostly thanks to her undeniably stunning vocals, song-writing skills and appearances on major projects.

Her first EP, Fallin' Apart, dropped in October 2019 as the artist built up some buzz in Nairobi having just moved from Atlanta.

A lot of people got to know the Berklee College of Music-trained artist when she was selected for the Empawa Africa program fronted by Afro-pop singer Mr. Eazi.

Many Kenyans who had never heard of the singer became fans with their first listen of her single See Me.

In 2020, she's proved that the hype is not unfounded thanks to a series of impressive projects.

Among them is an appearance on Afro-pop superstars Sauti Sol's Rhumba Jappani.

And that's without the mentioning a writing credit on Teyana Taylor's The Album, on the song Shoot it Up which features Big Sean.

Her expressive personality which comes through on social media has helped Xenia connect with a new audience in a short amount of time.

In past interviews, she admitted being worried about whether or not her music would be accepted in the local market as it sounded different.

Kenyan listeners, however, have been known to give a chance to whatever sounds good.

In RnB right now; that's artists like Xeniah Manasseh, Karun, Valerie Muthoni and Bey T who is carving a niche for herself in melody trap and RnB fusion.
