Despite making the biggest splash in the transfer market ahead of the 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Season, Nairobi-based Wazito FC haven't had it easy and currently sit only three points shy of the relegation zone.

Twelve game-weeks in, the club has won only two of its matches, against Zoo FC in Kericho and later against Chemelil Sugar.

Last week they were hammered 4-1by Bandari at Mbaraki, and telling tweets from the club's flashy owner followed. In a reply to a fan, he exclaimed that "pregnant women could play better (than his team)".

Dubai based-businessman Ricardo 'Don Rico' Badoer hasn't shied away from lashing out at players, technical bench members and club executives over poor performances from what is supposedly the league's richest team.

In fact, he's sent quite a few of them home. Sporting Director and Treasurer Solomon Alubala was the latest casualty, with his exit announced on Twitter by Badoer on Sunday.

Here are five times 'Don Rico' fired Wazito FC chiefs this whirlwind season.

Solomon Alubala

Long-serving sporting director and treasurer Solomon Alubala who joined Wazito FC years before it's promotion to the top-tier left the club two days after Wazito's loss to Bandari on Friday last week.

In a tweet, club owner Badoer wrote "As of today Solomon Alubala will step down as Sporting Director and Treasurer for Wazito FC.

All business negotiations will be handled by me and Wazito CEO Dennis Gicheru. This is all part of our future plans and my vision of how a football team should run."

Stanley Okumbi

Following Wazito's promotion from the NSL, former Harambee Stars manager Stanley Okumbi was brought on board as technical director with Fred Ambani as Head Coach.

A series of torrid results and rumored tension between him and Ambani saw the Harambee Stars U-20 coach sent home alongside the rest of the technical bench.

Fred Ambani

An AFC Leopards legend, Fred Ambani was appointed as Wazito's Head Coach at the start of the season having formerly been an assistant coach.

He was unveiled alongside Okumbi, the technical director, as the mix of experience and coaching talent needed to elevate Wazito. Poor results, however, saw both of them sacked before former Sofapaka coach Melis Medo was brought in.

Melis Medo

Egyptian American tactician Melis Medo was fired after only four games in charge, after coming in to replace the Okumbi-Ambani duo.

His own string of poor results which saw them only manage one win against Sony Sugar, coupled with allegations of dressing room unrest ensured the ex-Mt Kenya United and Sofapaka manager's stay at Wazito was short-lived.

Anthony Munyao

Through its media operation Madgoat TV, Wazito FC streams its own matches. Anthony Munyao was the Producer until he was summarily dismissed by Badoer on Twitter.

In what pointed a case of bad blood, Badoer wrote: "@Madgoat Tv you did awesome today as always! I am very proud of you. I also want to announce to others that Mr Anthony Munyao is no longer part of the company and was released from the company this passing Tuesday. He is now on my f*ck tart list and will remember me for a looong time."

Munyao retorted by accusing Rico of 'buying' matches against Sony Sugar and Chemelil.
