Bendi Huru this week released their latest single titled Na hii roho (Nairobi).

As its name suggests, the soulful afro-pop jam is about the city of Nairobi from the perspective of the hustling youth.

Mayuu aka Mwafrika Huru delivers a great lyrical story-telling opening performance which Leroy and Tito follow it up with serious melodic vibes making Na Hii Roho (Nairobi) one of Bendi Huru's best songs yet.

The three-man band was started in 2016 at the Kenya National Theatre and has gone on to release several popular singles, gaining fans and performing at major events.

They were selected to become part of Mr Eazi's Empawa 100 initiative which saw various artists from different African countries get funding for music videos as well as other tools helping them navigate the music industry.

The conscious group released Black Without Apology as part of Empawa 100.

Before that, they made waves with smooth love song Afrodizia. The song was supposed to be used as a theme song for a local TV show but after that fell through, they decided to shoot visuals and release it.

The official music video for Na Hii Roho hasn't yet been released.

Expect Bendi Huru to keep making great music and performing at shows near you as they carve out their own lane on the East African music scene.
