Mombasa County Governor Hassan Joho has been admitted at Mombasa Hospital on Friday.
The Governor had checked himself in, and complained of an unending flu.
Doctors advised that he remain at the facility to be monitored, Joho's Communication Director Richard Chacha confirmed.
Joho had taken to social media last night to congratulate ODM Candidate Imran Okoth following his win in the Kibra By-election, beating the likes of Jubilee's McDonald Mariga and ANC's Eliud Owalo.
Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo is also reportedly set to visit the Governor in hospital today.
