Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and a member of his security detail had an altercation with a photo-journalist in Nairobi on Tuesday.

As he arrived for questioning at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) headquarters, a camera-man rushed ahead of him ostensibly to get a shot of him walking in.

A visibly annoyed Sonko slapped the camera-man on the back of his head as he tried to squeeze past the governor.

Sonko's body-guard, in a blue suit, followed up as he grabbed the man by his collar before easily tossing him aside.

The camera-man was slapped in full view of police officers who stood manning the gate.

The photo-journalist was later identified as Collins Kweyu who works for Standard Media Group.
