Nigerian afro-beats star Burna Boy confirmed on Sunday night that he would be performing in Nairobi, Kenya in December.

In response to a fan, Burna Boy tweeted 'December I am coming!'.

Burna Boy's latest album African Giant drew international acclaim and has seen his popularity skyrocket particularly in Europe and the USA.

He is currently on a tour of Europe, hitting stages in massive arenas in different cities.

Burna Boy is also lined up to perform in South Africa but his online spat with S.A rapper AKA over xenophobia in the country has spiralled into beef drawing in fans and politicians.

EFF Party leader Julius Malema came out in support of Burna Boy noting their shared vision of a united Africa.

Burna Boy has previously performed in Kenya, and infamously blocked hundreds of Kenyans on Twitter after being blasted for a poor show in 2016.

At one point, he referred to Kenyans as 'peasants'.

Judging from the love his album has been receiving though, all that seems to be water under the bridge.

A host of international stars are lined up to perform in Kenya during the holiday season at various events in Nairobi and the Coast.

They include Koffee, Chris Martin, Sun El, Mbilia Bel and Kanda Bongo Man.

A video of Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee alluding to a show in Nairobi this December has also surfaced.
