Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko made a speech at the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth's memorial service on Friday that left mourners stunned.

In his typical style, the Governor addressed a range of issues including Okoth's life and his push for legalization of Marijuana.

He left many surprised as he revealed that the illustrious Ken Okoth who succumbed to Cancer sired a child with a little-known second wife known as Anita.

Sonko disclosed that Anita was part of his Sonko Rescue Team when she met Okoth, and that he later sought to have her nominated in the Nairobi County Assembly.

The Governor stated that he felt Ken Okoth would not be happy if he didn't talk about it.

Sonko's speech corroborated recent media reports of a five-year old boy who Ken did not shy away from identifying as his son.

With his European widow Monica, they had no biological children but adopted three.

In his speech, Sonko further called on young leaders including Starehe MP Charles 'Jaguar' Njagua to see to it that Okoth's push for the legalization of medicinal marijuana continued.

Sonko noted that marijuana could be used in cancer treatments, highlighting recent prominent deaths due to the disease such as that of former Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore.
