Marcel first became known to fans around a year ago when he was featured on Rico Gang's Fuckboy which garnered over 860,000 views on Youtube.
He also appeared on Rico Gang's follow-up single Serereka. Rico Gang has since gone on to release several other popular singles including Chachisha with Ochungulo Family and Kimonyoski which featured Kartelo.
While Marcel remains close to Rico Gang, he is now part of a new group joining the gengetone fray. Along with Trixta, he forms one-half of Matrix.
The duo just released their first single Kamute which is getting considerable hype.
Marcel disclosed that he and Trixta grew up together but only recently discussed the idea of a duo after hearing Trixta's music. Marcel spent time as a solo artist and performed at various shows including Loud's Freestyle Tuesdays event series.
He exclusively told Loud.co.ke that they are planning to release new singles, with a Rico Gang x Matrix collab also in the works.
